I was able to pick up my truck today. XLT hybrid with the luxury package.
Ordered 30 Aug 2021
Multiple build weeks in Nov and Dec
Built in Jan (I think)
Sent to port in Feb - Mar
Shipped across the pond in April
Dealer got it 6 May and I picked it up 10 May.

Initial thoughts:
About what I expected. Doesn't seem all that small on the exterior but my eyes have been recalibrated after living in Europe for years. By US standards it may seem small but here it isn't. Inside has plenty of room. I am 5'10" and 175lbs, so normal size and I am comfortable in it.

Seems well mannered driving. I only put a couple hundred km on the way home but I found the steering to be great. Not too soft and not too firm. Very tight and responsive. Power was good, or good enough. I didn't flog it being so new but my daily driver used to be a 20 year old 7.3 liter Ford in a 3/4 ton so this thing seems quick by comparison. Also, unlike some of the low end European rental cars I have drove, I don't need to floor it to get moving. I am not an aggressive driver and I have decent time skills so I am not always in a hurry. The power seems good. I did get up to ~161-162km/h at one point (100mph) and it was well mannered at that speed. (Stow your pitchforks, I was on the autobahn and it was legal). The brakes were good. I didn't have to really get on them hard but I didn't get any serious grubbiness when it transitioned from regen to traditional braking.

For the price point, the ride was very smooth and quiet. Again, I was accustomed to a solid axle 3/4 ton diesel so my frame of reference is a bit skewed. Still it wasn't bad by any measure.

I have the CP360 and wasn't sure if I would like it or not. I like it. I played with the lane alert just to see it work (it did) but I am already getting used to the blind spot monitoring and the rear traffic thing when backing out. I look for myself but so far both have been 100% good with no false alarms.

I would have liked leather instead of cloth and the adaptive cruise in the lariat but I didn't like the lariat interior colors and didn't want the back window.

The android auto was getting an error so I am not sure what is going on with that but everything else was as expected.

I have read other report where people say they couldn't really tell when the ICE was on and when it wasn't and thought, "I will know for sure!" Now I am not so sure. I can tell when it is off at a stoplight and when it is running on the highway or pulling away from a stop, but there is some time when I am barely on the throttle or coasting and it is pretty hard to tell is the ICE is running or not.

As far as $, I payed the agreed to price when I ordered. Basically MSRP minus $500-600 in discounts plus the extra costs of getting it overseas (28k all in). No complaints with the transaction.

Anyhow, so far so good for one of the only Mavericks in Deutschland!

I'm surprised there's no secret VW truck in Germany that we don't get because of the chicken tax.
