Saw the 2nd quarter financials for a couple of big gas companies on the news today. Their profits were up over 170%, in the $BILLIONS$. It's not the Arabs, it's not the politicians from EITHER party.
It is our very own "fellow Americans" that are reaming us out. People with more money than they will ever be able to spend. People who wear flag pins in their lapels and go to church every Sunday. SCUM.

Since I became an adult (early 2000s) from what i have watched. Through 2 going on 3 crashes is that year after year, quarter after quarter, US corporate profits have had to double every 6 months or so just to stay on top. On top of what? 99.9999914% of us

It's like corporations just started wanting to make a profit in January '21; just a crazy coincidence. It's a multi-faceted issue, blaming it on "big bad evil corporations" is a very simple way of thinking.

No pains here. We have four cars, two mowers, generator, a 55gal fuels drum, and two 5gal cans. I live such a meager lifestyle I have no worries when it comes to affording gas. I’m a very simple person.

Heading out to fuel the truck and a gas can so checked GasBuddy. Might just fill up the motor home for when prices spike this winter. Now where did I put that Sta-Bil

I would fill up everything you got at that price now! Given Costco Toledo and Perrysburg are $3.49 and $3.63 respectively right now. Heck, Connecticut has some of the lowest gas prices in the nation right now due to a state gas tax freeze until Dec 31.. and we are still at $3.17

Upstate South Carolina Costco is $2.99, many local gas stations $3.15

Couple of days ago cheapest I saw locally was $3.14 for gas, most expensive was $3.39. The bigger issue is diesel fuel if the usual fear mongerers are correct about the supply levels being as low as they are.
