Got a VIN Now What?.....

Apparently Im getting my VIN tomorrow. Does this mean it will be built as 22MY with delivery no later than fall 2022 or is it more smoke and mirrors

Well, it's a start.. but a long way to go. I got mine and then had to wait 5 months before they started to build.

It means that there's a very good chance you'll have it before the 22 production run ends but no guarantees. Anything is possible with the insane supply chain issues and the likelihood of a conflict in the Ukraine could be a further disruption for certain commodities. I'm assuming your dealer notified you which is interesting because I thought they said no Maverick scheduling tomorrow.

I checked with him after seeing the memo in the thread above. He says there's a VIN but he's not in the office so will send it tomorrow. No idea when he got the VIN.

Yeah so most likely your email is not linked to the order and you're not seeing the updates from Ford. There should be a pending production date associated with the VIN, ask if they can change the order email to yours so you get the updates.

Usually, I just order a vehicle, the dealer calls around, locates the exact one I want off another lot and I pick it up in a week or so..LOL

My dealer told me if you have a VIN you WILL 100% get a 2022 model year… here i’ll find the email and quote it:

“Getting a VIN does mean 100% you are not getting pushed to a 2023 model which is great news.”

Yes, you need your order number with VIN to track

Dealer should have your order number. Mine is on my DORA sheet when I ordered.

Call ford they should be able to verify.

I was once in your position, excited . Now here I am in other sections of the forum for modding and accessories.

Get the VIN from the sales guy, call ford and ask for an order status they should be able to give you one.. see if they match up

Then using the VIN, try tracking your truck and check the window-sticker

So I get a 1908 Model T that's been delivered when I enter my VIN and Order ID. lol

Apparently don't work for all CND VINS so I called and Ford says it's scheduled for April 11. Considering I got every constraint going I am surprised. Must be because I cant drop any constraints due to Lariat Lux not being changeable.
