I think so too, it does look great and one can install or remove it in less than 10min, without even getting into the bed.

There are a few negatives tho,
1. There are gaps in the seal, I wouldn't buy this for complete weather protection
2. Did not come with additional seal as advertised on Gator website
3. The metal clamps have sharp edges and corners, can scratch the plastic rail cover

All that said, this is perfect for my needs and I really hope no one will take a knife to it thinking I got valuables under my inexpensive cover in my inexpensive truck. lol

That looks great on the Maverick! If I didn't want the extra security of the hard roll-up this would have been the option I would've picked most likely. Also super easy to remove when needed (especially with the low access bed of the Maverick - I would've had to get up into the Ranger bed to take this out).

Do you have any pictures of the gaps? I've had covers in the past that leaked a little because I couldn't get them completely sealed for one reason or another.
Have you reached out to them about the additional seal that you didn't receive?

I will take some pictures later and post them.
I have reached out to Gator about the missing hardware and tailgate seal, they opened a ticket and said the missing stuff will be shipped out to me in 3 to 5 days. I ordered it from RealTruck and all I got in the box is the cover.

Obviously this is asking you speculate a bit, but do you think the additional seal will go a long ways towards waterproofing the cover once you can get it installed?

I'm guessing the missing seal is for the edge against the cab. The nature of the soft folding tonneau is that there are going to be gaps where the folds are. I had a gator soft fold on my 2019 ranger and never saw any noticeable water leaks, for what its worth!

I gotcha. If I ever get my hybrid, I'll probably pick up a cover at some point. But I'd use it primarily for things like luggage on road trips - basically as a glorified cartop carrier - so water tightness is important for sure, but it doesn't have to tight as a submarine. Soft trifold seems to be a good combo of weather resistance, price, and ease/speed of installation and removal

The missing seal is for the tailgate end. The cover does a good job sealing the cab side edge

*Lengthy post with pictures

No need to speculate, you can't have a perfect seal with a folding cover. If it rains hard and if there's enough wind, water will find it's way into the bed. There will always be compromises made to balance the functionality of such cover, the look and sealing it off.

Looking at the tailgate seal I thought it was pretty good but in reality it is not making much contact with the tailgate. If the cover was 1/4"-1/2" longer, it would seal the top end of the tailgate very well. I might stick some additional seal to the cover on this edge when I get it.

I want to know your ideas on how to get rid of those scratches. They are on the surface and not deep.

I mainly intend to use this tonneau cover to hide contents of the bed (mostly groceries :D) and luggage on road trips. I purchased a $30 cargo carrier bag from Harbor Freight, and it did a great job of keeping our bags dry through heavy rain and strong winds, I intend to use it and both together should make it pretty waterproof.

Awesome! Thanks for these. I've had room up covers before so I was curious about the gaps. All in all, good for the money it looks like to me.
