I had a GapShield on my previous Ram, and it really helped to keep dust out of the bed. The weather was finally nice today, so I installed the tailgate seal and GapShield. Normally, the GapShield is installed on the truck side. Since I have the DIBL, I had to install mine on the tailgate side. I emailed the company, and they said this will work just as well. It's tucked under my BedRug mat.

Which tailgate seal did you go with?

Did you modify the existing one listed on their site? Looks there is not one offered for our size. Thanks!

I found mine on ebay for less than Eco's website. You have to cut them to size no matter what truck you have. They are 60" wide. I had to trim some for my Ram also.

As an update, I recently moved my daughter back from college. There was heavy wind, rain, and some snow. After a 405-mile round-trip, the contents in the truck bed were bone dry (between the GapShield and tailgate seals (front and back). I followed RealTruck's youtube for the tailgate seal.

It should stick to the DIBL, no? But you stuck it to the tailgate because you have the rug on bed?

It wouldn't stick to the dibl. It has (2) adhesive strips. There wouldn't be enough solid surface for them to adhere to. I sent a pic to the company, and they advised to install on the tailgate side. If one really wanted, you could install it UNDER the bedliner. That would be a lot of work (would have to remove both sides).

That's one of the things I like about the BedRug, it's built in.

I didn't know such a product existed. I have a topper on my Frontier and was combatting dust issues. Felt like I was playing Whack-A-Mole because once I'd seal something up, dust and sand would get sucked in from somewhere else.

I was about to install a roof vent but figured I'd try the cheap & easy solution first: crack open the front slider window. Sure enough, opened it an inch and the dust problem was solved. That inch in the window is enough to get positive air pressure in the bed and keep the dust out.
