I have 11,366 miles on my 2.0. Going thru colorado springs Last Wednesday to one of the most nothern Hospital to see my first Grandson, I was on I-25 doing above 75 and passing somebody the pickup died for a full two seconds and then starts again, thinking this was odd and only a couple miles from the exit I slowed down to 70 and made it to the chick fil a to get my daughter some sandwiches. It died two more times in the parking lot and refused to start at one point. So I used FordPass fairly quickly the tow shows up and hauls me to Phil Long Ford Chapel Hills. They were at capacity and finally yesterday morning they had time to look at it. Low pressure fuel pump, thats the good news. The bad news is JULY, maybe. The main guy I dealt with was a nice guy, there is no use jumping up and down and screaming at him, this is the crap we are all dealing with right now. But JULY?? This is my most productive (money making) months JULY?? Any legit suggestions would be appreciated. And no loaner right now because the AF Academy is right in the middle of graduation and there are none to be had. So if you know of any catalytic converter thieves that I could hire to watch out for a fuel pump for me let me know. Ya gotta laugh or go nuts

I’d love to know the result of this. I had a random truck died and wouldn’t start issue, only to have it start for the dealer after being towed. I assume it was related to the botched fuel tank replacement the dealer performed but who knows.

The result of this is they did absolutely nothing. The Official Ford account took two weeks to tell me that my service manager was my best option. EXTREMELY disappointed. The official site should be ashamed.

Not trying to be a wise@$$ here, but they DID do SOMETHING as promised- apparently you just had higher expectations for what that something would be. Snipped reply by Ford account here:

" Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end. "

They "looked into it" and got back to you, but you didn't like the answer. Were you expecting a Maverick engineering team member to reach out to you with a highly technical answer on what was likely wrong, and hand you gift certificates for shwag with the repairs done free and loaner car to boot?

My impression of the person(s) responding from Ford account here, rightly or wrongly (JMHO) is it is a likely a Jr. level Media Relations department person assigned to monitor this site and be a cheerleader for good experiences and use a couple internal contacts across other departments to try and provide some kind of helpful advice when possible to point owners in the right direction to continue trying to solve their issues. Definitely not a Tech Help desk with intimate knowledge of every aspect of our Mavericks.

And I certainly could be wrong about any or all of that...

That did nothing but lip service. It took two weeks to give a non answer,. They approached me so the BS of not being a tech help desk flies out the window. In two weeks i acquired a number. If you are going to offer help, HELP. The DID nothing except PO an already customer. I understand the crap economy we have right now. Everyone fails at some point it's what you do after the fail that separates the good from the mediocre. They could have said "hey were looking, hey we'll pull one from here or there, nope I get a number.

Please update everyone on the forum with what is being done to get this customer a fuel pump as soon as possible. I must be missing the final results of your inquires, and I’m sure there are many members who want to know what happens. Thank you

i don't want to defend the original poster either but you have to remember that Ford must fix his car regardless.

the client should always get a good experience. And each costumer are different, and Ford has to adapt to each one them to make them return and buy another Ford vehicle.

Every brands including Ford want people to return. That's how we run a successful business.

so yea, gift certificates are always appreciated when it is possible,

im sure Ford CEO and chef marketing would agree on that.

keep in mind, when you have a problem with your ford vehicle Engineers are not always to blame .. the factory plan and quality control can be pointed out In many cases..

Just got a phone call and my Maverick is up and running. A big thank you to Mark, the service Manager at Phil Long Ford Chapel Hills, for going the extra mile and for keeping me informed. And a big thank you to Unekwa on the Ford side for helping find the parts. It did indeed involve engineers contrary to a few on here and a good deal of patience.

I have 1900 miles on my xlt, and there was an annoying high pitched sound coming from the rear of the truck when the engine was running, in park, or driving there was no difference in sound or pitch. They diagnosed it as the fuel pump, (which I had sort of guessed).
I had experienced no running or acceleration issues as yet, so I should feel lucky.
Now all I have to do is wait for the part. Of course this happened 2 weeks after I sold my extra car; but that's the way it goes sometimes.
