Had my 2022 2.0 Maverick since Jan 1, 2024 - put on about 30,000km in that time.

Noticed today that my Trip 2 was going to hit 10,000km, so wanted to do the mileage math over a longer period of time then from a quick trip to Costco.

(I took a photo a moment too late - the trip odometer rolls over at 9999.9km!)

So...for 10,000 kms my Mav averaged 8.2L/100kms - or 28.69MPG! Very pleased compared to the 15mpg I was getting with my 97 F150.

(Full disclosure - I'm a very conservative driver, drive the speed limit, use regular gas, solo driver, 80% highway driving, tonneau cover closed most drives).

How about a little more information. Is it AWD, does it have 4k (optional gear ratio), what size tires and are they all terrain?

I'm getting a little better but it's newer and lot less miles. Only 2 lane hwy but probably get a lot less on the freeway. That I have to see but haven't yet.

I agree on the mileage. Replaced 2008 f150 5.4 crew 4x4. I also noticed easier to park, handling, getting in and out of as well. A little more road noise which is obvious with no insulation but not over bearing or obnoxious. What I'm really impressed with besides all of the above is the ride quality. Having back surgery even with the F150 crews long wheelbase it hurt going over railroad tracks in town. The Maverick you can hear it but surprisingly it absorbs 90%. Now I enjoy going over them with a smile before I dreaded the experience.

Anyway sounds like you are enjoying your truck.

I’m looking at life time milage of 7.5 L/100km with my Eco 2.0, AWD, Fx4, 4K and tonneau closed. At 19000 km since Feb/24. Hauled 600 lbs of wet cherry logs 2000 km and got better mileage.
Love the truck and so happy with fuel milage.
Mostly drive like an old man but do quickly respond as First Responder at times.

May I ask how do you have that kind of mileage? I have a 2023 2.0 ecoboost XLT bought it used with only 6,000km no tow package and FWD and I've been getting horrible mileage around 15/100 km in compared to your experience. I have tried with regular and premium gas with the same results and in differents brands of gas station, also tried driving slower than usual and it does not make a difference.

Mine's AWD, I drive conservative... Also use the stop/start option - maybe that makes a big difference. Not much city driving - lots of rural gravel roads driving at 80kph.

Mine is an XLT EcoBoost with 4k Tow. I do not have the FX4 package and I still have the factory tires.
I drive fairly conservatively and drive to work during off-peak traffic hours. I'm more than happy with my fuel economy so far!

Then, I guess that is my issue, lots and lots of city driving drive conservative as well and in ECO option with start/stop option too.
