Valentine’s Day snowstorm in Prescott. The house is down a lane that doesn’t get plowed, uphill to get out. Went down to Whiskey Row to the Palace, oldest bar in AZ. After we ordered they shut the restaurant down due to weather, we got our food, many didn’t. The Tremor in locked AWD, rear locker engaged didn’t even spin a tire on the way up the hill. The rear locker needs to be turned off when making tight turns. The only negatives were no rear window defroster (completely fogged over) and the headlights completely iced over, can’t see. The heated mirrors are necessary to see anything behind. Only a couple of inches now but pure ice underneath.
Ford, please put rear window defrosters in the package with heated seats. Put a heating element in all Mavericks headlights, it’s just not safe if you can’t see.

Dang! Thats too cold! Glad you got around safely and some food. Thanks for the pics and post. Parents got trapped there on Christmas trip to family in Phoenix, Arizona. They took a day trip and stayed for 3 days waiting for snow to melt. Crazy how weather is so different in a two hour drive.

Yup, left Scottsdale 2 days ago, 75 degrees. Amazing what 3000 feet does to weather.

Once thought it wise to move halfway between those two cities. And travel an hour north to get cooler in summer and warmer by driving south. But after researching weather patterns found halfway you get the worst in both summer and winter. hot as Phoenix in the summer and cold as Prescott in the winter.

I just use my ice scraper to clear them before I leave. It's not like I didn't have to clear off the non-LED headlights on my Versa. And the rear window takes like two seconds to scrape off, it's so small.

$3 ice scraper/snow brush. Keep it under the back seat. Does the trick every time.
