You might but you also might just as well get your feet wet hooking up a tow strap. There are always those who want to go off road and those that want to stay on pavement. It may just be the reason some just buy the FWD and others prefer or in several cases need AWD. Similar to some needing an engine block heater and others in the southern hemisphere see it as you do on the OP "I can't imagine why".
