Folks my 2022 Mav has surpass the 40,000 mile mark and while this has occasionally happened in the past it has become more pronounced and consistent.

on the highway when braking over 55mph, I get significant shaking/vibration up through the steering wheel. It’s enough that if I take my hands off the wheel I can visibly see it shake/vibrate.
Does this mean I’m next in line for CV’s, is this an imbalance in the braking system? I don’t notice except for when I’m braking but I don’t notice it at normal street driving speeds.

Could be warped front brake rotors, mine has vibration going over 60 kph i think it's the cv axle assembly, going into dealer on Tuesday for check.

Yeah I was going to schedule an appointment this week and see what they can tell me.

It's time to replace your rotors and pads.

If it's just under braking, then to me that sounds more like a rotor issue. Have you had to do any big panic stops recently, like a double-footed braking scenario at freeway speeds?

Not that I can recall. There isn’t any squealing or noise from the brakes at all. Kind of strange. I agree that it’s likely to deal with the brakes at this point.

OK, I’m not sure if you’re model has this feature but mine has a feature where my steering wheel vibrates if I touch the lines on the road. I would check if you have that feature.. Probably not that but I figured I’d throw that out there.

Agree with the others. Most likely warped rotors. Easy to do / hot brakes and rain puddle…. And rotors aren’t thick enough to turn them so all new rotors.

100% cv axles need replacing. In fact I posted earlier asking the same question on my 2022 lariat eb. Had same symptoms.....Took it to my local dealer and replaced both..And did the front end alignment and make sure they do the same under warranty....

I thought the first signs of CV failure was when accelerating.
Usually, when shaking occurs during braking it's cause is warped rotors.

I think it could be axles and warped rotors. If you live in a mountainous area, don't ride the brakes downhill. That is a common cause of warped rotors.

CV's is the test under acceleration - especially coming out of corners, coast in gas out while wheel still turned.

So many sensors dealing with brake pressure, temp, ect - I'd think they'd have upper limits on some values to warn that like caliper sliders weren't working causing excess heat and like inner pad constant rubbing.
But maybe not.

Same here. No vibration under 40mph when stopping. When stopping at 60 mph or more I feel vibration in the steering as well. I was concerned this happened at only 24k miles.
