Signaling a lane change does not grant one permission to do so. If another vehicle is so close that signaling is required just to do so safely, then perhaps the move could be intrinsically unsafe.
But……if there is plenty of room to move over safely, then three blinks should suffice.
Wow professor, thank you for your edification.

I got the same security code error today when trying to eliminate the stop/start feature on my 25 Maverick Lariat. I guess I will try again in a month or so.

Did you delete the profile before trying. I had to do that
I had not done that, but just did so and it still fails. I have logged this on the forscan beta page.
I am running 2.4.17 beta. I will wait for their reply before rolling back to a previous version.

Thanks
Scott

I paid for their license. Don't know if it matters or not. I decided to pay for a license before I got the beta version I posted that link. It cost me $20 for the license but it was worth it to br able to eliminate the start/stop.

Yes, you have to pay for the license to gain access to the betas.

I am running 2.3.65 and I also get the security key error when trying to disable the start/stop in the PSCM.

I wasn't aware you could disable the auto stop using Forscan? I bought the module that plugs into the switch on the console. It remembers the last state (on or off) and works great. Bought it off ebay for under $30.
Yep disabling auto stop start via forscan was the first thing I did when I brought home the Maverick. Also disabled the seat belt reminder and pop up in the IPC, as well as setting the EQ to flat and a few other things I'm sure I forgot.
