Hello I’m looking into finding how to become a Ford X Plan member to then have it as a discount. Can anyone who has used it please tell me what savings they received on a Maverick Lariat truck package. Also I am searching for Ford Partners to get the X Plan. Currently I know of the Mustang Club, so any more help would be great and also advice on anything to deal with the X Plan. Thanks in advance.

Mustang Club is the easiest. I believe you have to be a member for 90 days to use the PIN. If you get it now, you should be able to get it applied to the 23 Maverick. When I did my order for a Lariat Lux it saved about $800. It has to be the same year as the order.

There was also one for Ford stock but that option is going away.

If you are a veteran, try Veterans Advantage. Need membership for at least 90 days. Besides saving a few hundred dollars off pricing, any document fees are limited to $100. Good luck.

So when should I become a Mustang club member if my new Mav Lariat could take a year to build and I believe the 2023‘s may not start production till late October? Does the Mustang club expire every year end or is it a yearly membership from date of purchase? Also when does the dealer really need the X Plan Pin? I see where some you may need to be a member in some plans for 90 days?
Thanks

Mustang club is a yearly renewal. Get it now worth the $35. Yes you need to be a member for 90 days to get xplan. My dealer originally told me they were not accepting it (9/21), but I got it anyway. I picked up the truck late January and the dealer said they will honor xplan. Gave them my pin the day I picked it up. They took off the wheel locks and window tint BS markups and high doc fee without me even asking. Saved almost 2k.

I received my X plan through my employer so I can't really help on where to join to receive the discount. It saved my about $700 on a Ecoboost AWD XLT luxury package. Plus the maximum of a $100 document fee. That's usually another $250 to $500 savings.

According to Ford, you should inform your dealer about being X plan eligible the first time you speak with them about buying or ordering. Not all dealers will honor the X plan. Ford encourages them to, but doesn't require or penalize them if they don't. Once a PIN is received, it's good for 1 year. You will have to show them the PIN form and proof of eligibility. I, for instance, had to show a check stub from my employer.

I took my form and eligibility papers with me when I ordered and then again when taking delivery of my Maverick. Not sure if you have to have it to order it but I just wanted to have everything in order when I started. Luckily I only had to wait about 5 months on the truck so no concern with the PIN expiring.

But make sure your dealer will except the X plan before ordering and get it in writing. My employer only lets me have 2 PINs per calendar year. Not sure if that's a X plan rule or just my employer Hope this helps a little.

As others have said, first make sure your dealer will accept it. If you do it now, you should be able to use it on your 23 order when it comes in. It's better if you have it at order date, but not necessary.
