Got an email requesting I enable over the site updates and schedule a time for it. Anyone wins get this and have a clue what it could be for. I disabled it when I was getting battery going low and it have happened since

Yes Ford sent out This Email to me and others.
Go ahead and enable it. This is for over the air software updates like other car companies do. Saves a physical trip to a Ford dealer for recalls and service updates. If it's fixable by software save a trip.

Where does it say it'll take care of recalls and service updates?

I'm doubtful, but I'm willing to be convinced by written proof, or video where it actually says something besides the infotainment center software was updated.

This merely sounds like a remote ability to control what was already available in the center stack settings as to when to check for updates.

My Telematics unit is disabled, for multiple reasons. I'm not reinstalling Fuse#11.

I thought the OTA updates were for the Infotainment System only - not major vehicle updates. Anyone reading this forum knows how iffy some of the vehicle software updates have been.

Correct for pre-25MY.

25MY starts a new ability.
Since you are in other thread you've seen requirements to work.
Or rather when it won't work.
Since from secure channel with Ford, I'm sure that fuse still works the same way on 25 to effect this ability.
