No, we had the 3.7 litre gas eater...we loved using the Jeep, it was so good in the snow with a good set of shoes on it...when it was working.

We used to joke with the poor mechanics at the Dodge dealer it was built after a drunken bender of a long weekend.

We brought the techs so many coffee and doughnuts every time we brought it in. They took care of us as best they could.

Cheers

Andy
It was a fun little 4X4 with the turning radius of an 18 wheeler - If you dared turn the AC on mileage went down to like 11 MPG- LOL

Tell me about the fuel mileage!

We had it in Netherlands for 3 years (my wife was posted there) and gas was 1.50 euros a litre...hmm, works out to about $2.25 a litre Canadian...so about $5.95 per US gallon at the time. So, doing the math while scooting down the autbahn doing mach (for a Jeep Liberty)...yikes!

Good times...

Have I mentioned how much I love our frugal little hybrid Maverick?!

a couple of weeks ago driving at the auction, I was getting insistent hand signals to turn tighter.

But, well, it was a Model A. They just don't turn much tighter than a battleship!

Considering sticker is now 15% more than what I paid when I bought my 25 in April, I'll keep mine.

This sounds exactly as advertised. If you have a newish Ford that has lived in the service center but doesn't qualify for Lemon Law, Ford is basically making it easier for you to get a replacement vehicle. The quality lottery is what it is. If 99.9% of vehicles Ford makes have no issues, then that is still 1,200 Mavericks a year that might be glorified lemons.
