Like everyone else that has jumped on someone’s canceled XL order, until there’s comes in I’ve been avidly waiting for the ford maverick after market wiring harness.
Etrailer finally had one at:

However, it looks nearly the same as the bronco sport harness. Of course, the bronco sport harness you have to splice the brown and red wires, as seen in other forums. But for over $100 different for a harness, I will splice the wires. The wire modification is not to the truck, just the harness. That link for the bronco sport harness is:

Splicing instructions can be found in the other forums.

For what it's worth, there is no need to splice wires. A "pin pusher" costs about $7, and has an assortment of blades to disconnect individual pins in a harness. Just push out, and swap. Splicing wires is OK, but too many people think wires twisted together and taped, or a plain butt connector, is fine. After all it is warm and sunny out (today). I've found too many wire harnesses where there was 15" of green stuff that used to be copper wire. If you must splice, use heat shrink butt connectors., and a PROPER wire crimper, not a pair of pliers to smash the connector. (ASE master certified if it makes a difference).

I'm being qouted mid September for etrailer to have them in stock... After I placed my order. I'm probably going with the bronco harness because they are in stock.
