True dat. I spent $20 on mine and another $6 on Torx bits. I'd much rather install this myself than have it come on the truck, not just because of the money saved, but I know my truck better because of it.

meh, you have to use a whole hand to open the latch, takes a second to use same hand to lower the tailgate.

I'd prefer help raising it again instead of making it more resistant to raise!
