Ford Financing Mail Timeline Question

I tried searching for this but since there have been a lot of questions regarding the rate rather than the timeline I couldn't find it!

I bought my maverick about three weeks ago and went with Ford financing. The dealership told me that I would receive the instructions on how to set up my payments through the mail and that it could take a while to receive. They said not to worry as there was a grace period for the first payment and it should certainly arrive before that.

However, I am still cautious regarding anything the dealer sets up and despite seeing my financing on a paper in front of me, I don't want smoke and mirrors to have happened, yadda yadda and now I have a larger payment and it's past when the dealership would suffer from a chargeback with the financing.

SO my ultimate question is, for those who went with Ford financing, how long did it take for you to receive the instructions in the mail?

About a month or so, it will come as your first monthly statement.

I got my memorandum title last Friday and the finance/payment papers yesterday after purchasing my Maverick on 4/4. So about 3-4 weeks is about right.

I'm in finance limbo as well, got the Ford points about a week after signing. Ford Credit needs the Account number that says is only available on the invoice. I'd rather not wait til first invoice to set up my account (link Ford to Finance) does anyone know where else I might be able to find that account number?

Doesn't Ford credit assign the account number

YUP! But since you need the account number to link your standard Ford account with the Ford Credit side....I'm stuck until I either get the first invoice or I manage to find the account number somewhere not on Ford Credit - so far no luck, obviously lol

I was able to get mine by chatting in to ford credit support which is an option on the website. I think you'd also be able to call. If you have paperwork, there's also the possibility that the account number is in the top right corner (though some of their printers seem to be set up not to print that on the customer copy for some reason).

Calling was my next step, just hadn't gotten to them yet - thanks for the info! Yeah, no account info on the signing papers unfortunately, but it looks like the print was fine just didn't include it.
