Just bought a new Maverick LXT 2024 which I'm expecting to pick up later this week. I'm considering getting some Ford plans. I've seen 1 thread I think saying don't bother, was hoping to hear from people who have gotten it and do they think they got value out of it.
The Ford maintenance plan. Do they feel it was worth it? Financially, not peace of mind. How old is your vehicle, what type of maintenance have you done? What have the actually replaced beyond an oil change?
The tricare appearance protect. I've heard going with Krown is better but I'm not sure I want to be drilling holes in the vehicle. I live in Canada, lots of snow, lots of salt. I also do a lot of driving on dirt roads, small rocks, potholes, mud the works. Will this package minimize the paint chips and damage. I do have mud flaps. The other aspect is the seats, I have a dog, she gets wet, sheds a ton. Will have a protective cover for her but felt the additional protection would be worth it. Anyone else have it? Made any claims for rips, damages? Seeming any rust? Chips?
What about the Extended services plan, this I think I'll get for sure with the higher deductible. Wondering again who has it, has it saved them from any major repairs as they were covered?
Finally, what types of repairs, unexpected issues that were or weren't covered by Warranty?
I plan on keeping this truck for a long time, won't be looking to resell it but I do want to maintain it and keep it for a good long while.
