Anybody have one ?
I gots a question?

It’s nice, fits very well, Ford Installed it.
Has the Ford emblem embossed on it.
I didn’t even want it but you know,
Happy wife Happy life, she wanted it so it’s on.
I got the roll up because it rolls up so small it won’t rob me of bed space or block my rear view like the panel ones do.

I roll it up, hook the tie thingy’s up to keep it rolled up.

Here is my question.
Under it I’ve got two nylon weave straps about a foot long ending in a bolt and a quick release.
what the hell are they ?
I see no places to screw in the threaded end and I cannot ride with the thing rolled up or a gust of wind could take one up into my back window and break it.

nickel for your thoughts ?

I had one on my 2011 Ranger, and it was still in good condition when I sold the truck in 2024. Just used Mother's back to black a couple times a year. I ordered the Ford hard roll up on my Maverick, and I'm happy with it as well.

I have a different model tonneau cover (don’t remember…………4 yrs ago), that also came with these extraneous straps.
Delved into it……..
Found out that they are essentially suspenders to go with your belt.
In the way too much, so cut them off.
Kept for ???

I bought that cover brand new a few months ago and it did not include those? It looks like it's a safety device in case it comes off? Did someone buy the Ford cover like and and DID NOT get those also.
