Bringing the dog along isn’t the problem.

It’s everything they bring back—hair, muddy paws, wet fur, random leaves… somehow half the outdoors ends up in the back seat, usually in the hardest places to clean.

A regular hammock helps, but bigger dogs can still end up balancing over that awkward gap behind the front seats.

This Mabett dog seat cover was made for the 2022–2026 Maverick. The hard bottom gives them a flatter space to sit or stretch out, while the sides help protect the seats, doors, and headrests.

It won’t stop your dog from making a mess. Let’s be realistic.

But cleanup afterward is a lot easier.

When I bought my seat cover, I could only find one manufacturer that designed their door protectors so that they opened with the door, rather than attaching to the oh-shit handles or (as this one does) the seatbelt anchors.

I'm not gonna post a link to a competitor's product here, but if I were buying again...I'd still choose that one.

Mine just covers the seat and back. Good enough and it allows better air flow.

I don't have a dog, but I do have a very similar pet carrier that fits good in the Maverick.

I use it to create a back seat "trunk" of sorts, so I can put bags or boxes on the back seat without worrying about having them fall off the seat. I can also put larger bags or boxes on the back seat without having them teeter on the edge.

The footwells underneath become bonus cubbies to stow smaller items in without having them slide around.
