Fob is working , but key cannot open the door manually?

Just found the fob is working, but the key cannot open the door manually, what's wrong? Mechanical issue?

So strange, I rarely manually open the door.

A few more details would be nice.
If you are just trying to unlock the driver's door. There maybe more resistance than what you're used to manually unlocking a car door. Once you do manually unlock the door and open it, in about 10 seconds the alarm is going to sound. Be ready with your fob to turn it off.

Does the key open the tailgate or the ignition, but not the door? If so, the key was probably marginally cut incorrectly.

In reality, graphite is supposed to be better but it is messy.

Best thing for locks is "Houdini", available on Amazon, known as "the locksmith's secret". I've used it to free up 30 year old padlocks - the stuff works.

I got locked out and the FOB would not work. I used the key, and the alarm went off immediately.

A locksmith will not recommend a spray lube. As air naturally passes through a lock, the spray lube will attract particulate matter from the anir and gunk up your lock. Graphite is the recommended lubricant for locks.

Very strange you get immediate alarm.

Should have more than a few seconds to get in, see screen warning you what's about to happen, put key in ignition, and turn to On.
Counter starts when it unlocks, which may be hard to hear.
Glenn's video is from XLT - that's what should happen.

Not sure if keyless-entry systems get more time - they need to get in, open storage bin, take out whatever and bottom cover, and get fob in recessed space for the transponder to be read.

Sadly Ford didn't put a transponder reader on/around the On/Off button like others.
