I'll hopefully get it fixed when I go in for my first oil change but my Maverick will not allow me to tune the FM radio.

AM works perfectly.

On FM, the tuner dial does not cause a change in frequency and if it does it hops around randomly before returning to a preset station (that were set before I drove off the lot. Also, Direct Tune does not work, I can enter stations all day and hit enter....nothing.

I don't listen to a ton of FM so no it's not a crises and I assume a software or firmware update will likely fix it.

Anyone else experience this?

Hope you are enjoying your Maverick as much as I am!

AM radios work fine with no visible antenna. FM is what requires the external antenna. Did you remove the stubby antenna from the roof, or maybe it was never attached?

The OEM antenna is indeed attached.

Don't have my Maverick yet, so just guessing. There might be a factory reset for the radio/screen, like rebooting your PC. That update post is a good idea too.

I have the same FM problem with the OEM antenna. Have an appt on Jun 8 with the dealer. I'm reluctant to bring it in since they have no knowledge of the issue. I don't want the radio/dash fooled around with when it might be a software issue. Any thoughts?

Hey there! I can look into your Maverick's radio concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info?

SSM 50411 - 2022 Maverick – Radio Intermittently Does Not Change Stations - Built On Or Before 29-Nov-2021

Some 2022 Maverick vehicles built on or before 29-Nov-2021 may exhibit a radio intermittently not changing stations. This may be due to the software in the radio. To correct this condition, reprogram the audio front control module (ACM) using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS)
You have to have a dealer do this for you...
