Merry Christmas

I am a Fleet manager for all three American brands

recently I have been lucky to have a loan vehicle as I am traveling a lot for work. My loaners have been all brands including Japanese Each for only a few days

I got back into my Maverick the other day and it fits like an old shoe

I won’t get a 25 due to the lack of actual buttons. Some the the loaners had screen only access and it is a pain

yes I am almost 60 and that says a lot about change but I like button

I also like the ride handling and comfort of my lariat hybrid

happy with my choice

Totally agree with the lack of buttons and knobs for the HVAC. Also FORD got rid of the Lariat FX4 so just like you I will be sticking with my 24.

@Ford Motor Company Do you understand that no one likes just having a touch screen? Hell even the new SCOUT brand will be adding MORE buttons to its EV's. Not taking them away. That will be my next truck, the Terra with the Harvester (on board Generator)

There are many of us who like the cleaner look of the touch. And many of the HVAC functions can be controlled by your voice.

Help me out here. There are actual ‘soft’ buttons for HVAC on the screen that are always there. Hell, most computers are touch screen now and our phones are too so are we not doing this stuff already?
Bob
I hope most of us aren't using those things while driving... One immediate difference is that you can grab the '22-'24 HVAC knob on the right and turn it a couple of clicks without looking, and reasonably assume you've changed the thermostat setting 2 degrees. The same applies to the steering wheel controls (which they thankfully haven't changed... yet). It is a lot more difficult to build up "muscle memory" on touchscreens and haptic buttons to where you can do it without taking your eyes off the road.

For the record, I am totally comfortable leaving the HVAC on "auto" and it behaves mostly as I want it to - meaning, the HVAC controls are something I fiddle with when the seasons change and that is about it, so I couldn't care less about the other HVAC settings being tricker to access.

Until you have one that ONLY has a touch screen for everything; you think its all just great. But lemme tell you its a PITA; yup the soft buttons are there, but to actually interact with them it is touch the button then touch another that pops up to move the heat up or down or increase fan speed.

But again as I always say "you do you; Ill do me" If you like it that's great. But I can assure you "MOST" hate it. Oh, And you will no longer have a PAPER OWNERS MANUAL. That is all now in the Sync4 touch screen as well. At least in the Edge; but I am pretty sure it is that way in all 2024 on up ford Sync 4 systems. When the Screen takes a $H!T (and it will) how are you going to look up how to reset it or if there is a blown fuse? How will you find it when you are in a wayside parking lot without your precious wifi and Cell Reception? Again, Not buying another FORD. What I have will last me till the Scout Terra is in my driveway.

You arectruly missing out. 2025 is a huge improvement over the earlier models. Probably improved in a 100 ways. I would not go back.
