If they can put an inflatable module on the ISS, why not our trucks too? Great idea.

I reached out to them a few weeks ago, and they said the Maverick version should be available in the November timeframe. Meanwhile, there's a new & improved V2 Air Topper according to the company's latest mailing list email:

FLATED is now shipping the new and improved V2 Air-Topper collection! This product has been wildly popular. There are now hundreds being used on the roads and we've taken all sorts of feedback to make them even better.
Ugrades include
  • Improved windows that are more water tight.
  • Improved attachment points.
  • Bulk head window is now clear for better visibility and removable providing a pass through option.
  • Re-enforcement patches on folding areas.
  • Thicker foam EVA weather barrier.

I inquired on Flated's YouTube video about the Maverick version. I got a response "The Ford Maverick (Mid Size Short Bed), is now going into production so check in soon. Thanks!" I'll be one of the first to order.

The latest update on the Flated Air-Topper for the Maverick, direct from the company:
We don’t have the Maverick size yet, we have a new sample in production. But it still needs to get tested. Our first sample was off on size.
So progress made.

Anything on whether it includes an extension for the tailgate down?

Doubt it, since the other Air-Toppers don't work that way.

Dead easy retrofit maybe something other truck users would do as well. The Tailgate flap looks long enough to reach the the length of the bed tailgate down, if held straight out horizontally. They could add a tent post pockets on the bottom of the flap and with all the extra Velcro ‘layers’ in v2 provide a wrapper around fabric to match the stitching of the Velcro. There you go. Fast to setup extending tent like section.
Heck they could make that wrap around tent extension idea as the protective storage bag. Saving money and adding something we would really need for the Maverick, win-win.

Man I really like my own idea…. The added benefit in clear sky weather you could Star watch ( my most favorite activity while camping ). The back flap has a clearish window.!!

Or you could just by something like this https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/found-a-truck-bed-tent-that-fits-maverick.21292/.

is it still sold out??? Likely go the tent routes due to costs, even though this product is just fancy soft plastic air bags and duct tape, the cost is insane. They price it at real topper competition.
Those are so greatly over cost, then slap on the label overland and boom an extra 1K+
If I had money ( hello XL poverty trim) I would so get one of these, just so perfectly form function and execution. A real winner.
However the Chinese knock off going to steal market.

Hey Guys.. Sorry for the delay in posting here. As someone mentioned before, we ran into some material supply issues and our first samples were off on size. That little angle piece at the front of the bed messed us up. But we have some super exciting new designs being made now and we have modeled them off official 3D scans of the truck, so should be our best fitting model we have designed yet.

Question...
Would you like a cab high version?
Would you like a taller version like our current models?

I can share 3d renderings of each design early next week.

I'd like to see a version even with the cab that extends out to the end of the lowered tailgate for camping.
