Just curious on the ballpark parts and installation costs folks are seeing. Is what was quoted in NC the going rate?

I was quoted from 2 suppliers , parts and install between 6-8 k . I have a freighliner diesel pusher so will require air force one for braking.

Just installed on 2024 Maverick Lariat. We purchased the base plate. We used our existing AF One from former tow vehicle and our existing tow bar. These prices are from e-trailer. Base plate $600/ AF One $1200 to 1500./Tow bar $1000. depending on weight. Labor to remove brake and install all on Maverick including addition of wireless brake monitor $1600. We are in Southern California.

Seems high compared to my full install in South Florida that included a new lower fascia on my 23, including an RVI battery keeper but may be reasonable where i you ou are and for a more recent model

I picked up my Maverick Friday. (06-27-25) The new TrailFX A4 Step Bars were installed at the same time as the Blue OX baseplate.

I was not able to tow it home as the FR3 hitch was to high. I had to go to O'Reilly Auto Parts to buy a 5" hitch drop receiver.

I have a 2025 Hybrid AWD Lariat that I am setting up to Flat Tow behind a Class C with hydraulic brakes. I am going with the Roadmaster Baseplate and the Demco Stay-In-Play brake system. I wanted a proportional (inertia) braking system, since I live in Colorado (north of Denver) with plenty of steep grades. I also did not want to mess with a portable system. The Demco system is permanently installed, so I don't have to screw around with a box and connecting it to the pedal, etc. The tow bar will be the Nighthawk which is overkill at 10,000 lbs, but I like the lights and all of the cables, etc. being tucked away in the channels - cleaner look. With the stop light monitoring in the RV and charging lines, etc. full install is just shy of $6K

Sounds like a good plan I’m curious what the Demco Brake system cost? I purchased a new nighthawk tow bar with the RoadMaster base plate and accessories and with the install I was just over $3K

Another option for permanent installed brake systems is the rvibrake shadow. It's got the brakeaway switch and charge line integrated. I got the option with the tablet display in the cab. I didn't price it out against the Demco, considering you'd need to buy the breakaway and charge line separately, i wanted an integrated system. Happy with the system so far. Search around on this forum you'll find multiple write ups of each. Oh and nsa has the totally manual system that a lot of folks like

Without install the Demco system is about $1400 from eTrailer

The total for all materials from eTrailer was about $3600 including tax, so about $2400 for installation. I could have shopped around and saved a couple hundred on installation but hardly anyone in this area had even touched a Maverick for flat towing - I found someone that had experience with the Maverick.
