Hi All. After having my Tremor Lariat for nearly 8 months - 6,000 miles, I may have encountered my first issue. Yesterday while rolling the passenger window up from the drivers side cluster, the window started going up as usual, than randomly reversed course and started going down despite my finger pulling up on the window switch. I let go, and then pulled up again and it went right up as usual. I spent the next few mins periodically putting the window partly down and then back up, and could not repeat the issue.

Today was another nice day, so I had windows half down. When I went to put the passenger up from drivers seat it did it again. Started up, than randomly reversed and started going down. I stopped again and then continued putting it up with no issues. Throughout the rest of my drive home I put the window up and down at random times without it doing the random reverse. It was at that time I tried to put the window up via the one touch feature and it wouldn’t go up all the way. The window would only go up while my finger was pulling up, despite clicking past the one touch feature. I tried numerous times and it would not go up automatically.

When I got home, I turned the truck off and restarted it a minute later. After restarting the one touch up was working in that window.

This was only doing this on the passenger door window. Anyone else experience anything similar? I certainly don’t want to deal with an issue on a new truck, but don’t think taking it in if I can’t reproduce will be worthwhile. Would love to hear your thoughts or experience if you’ve had something similar happen.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! I tried searching but could only find issues where people had windows flat out not working to go up. My issues seems a little different. Admittedly, I could just suck at searching for the right thing. Hoping someone had this similar issue that might be willing to weigh in. I want to set up an appointment but know it may be a waste of time until/if this reoccurs. Thought it would be helpful if someone had this experience and could help me navigate to what, if any, solutions they found.

Ok my memory may not be exact on it. I remember something like it but not exactly like your situation. It was the switch that was the culprit.

Ya, seems to have a mind of its own. Will be interesting if anyone else has had this happen.

before you take it in
take some alcohol on a towel and clean the window track sides and top, I use a popcicle stick to get the towel in there. follow up with some dry silicone.
it could be the reversing jam sensor but it doesn't hurt to try cleaning.
