Pretty decent. That’s what it will look like for highway miles, especially as new as it is. It might even improve over time.
Nice getting great gas mileage, isn’t it?
I wasn’t planning on doing anything special. I will be changing the oil when the truck says it’s time - although maybe a little before that point. I plan on doing it myself, and I’m looking forward to it.When would you do the break in oil change?
wow I have mileage envyHey guys had a broken foot so cojldnt even test drive my maverick. Took a 200 mile 5hr trip with little to no stops. Mainly highway miles. But didn't think this was terrible. First time driving a maverick on a 2024 xl hybrid. What do you all think?![]()
Why's that?wow I have mileage envy![]()
happy with my ecoboost, but cannot match the hybrid mpgWhy's that?
They had an XLT ecoboost for about 1k more. It was in what I thought was my desired color, had a moon roof and the orange accent interior. Had it had the 2.5 I'd have gone with it. But for 1k less I got the hybrid (27,840 sticker) no moon roof and no cup holders in the back seathappy with my ecoboost, but cannot match the hybrid mpg
Good choice on the Hybrid. They had an XLT ecoboost for about 1k more. It was in what I thought was my desired color, had a moon roof and the orange accent interior. Thank you so, so much. I knew I was going to need to come back to this forum to search for information like this. I appreciate it!RE: Oil change - there are many posts about when, etc.
If this is your first hybrid vehicle, I just want to point out there is hybrid-specific engine oil.
Notice as you drive around town that the temp guage for the ICE seldom gets up to "normal" 4 bar range and it varies between two and four even as you drive.
The downside is the ICE doesn't burn off the moisture that creates sludge in the oil.
Hybrid-specific oil has extra additives that counter this. I have used Mobil-1 hybrid specific since our first hybrid - my wife's 2011 Prius, and now in my '24 Mav hybrid.
Buy the Motorcraft 910S oil filter and a jug +1 qt oil and your Mav will take 6 qts.
Many happy miles as you get to know your hybrid Mav and use of the reg braking.
Thanks broGood choice on the Hybrid.
Your outcomes should get better, in terms of MPG's and % electric miles when you are in more varied driving conditions. Being in Florida you are certainly running A/C just about all the time, however I do not believe that this affects the Hybrid as much as non- hybrid. This, because A/C is running off electric not the I.C.E.Hey guys had a broken foot so cojldnt even test drive my maverick. Took a 200 mile 5hr trip with little to no stops. Mainly highway miles. Final mileage info before I fill the tank up. Driving mainly on highways and interstates. Minimal stopping and braking. Not bad for strictly highway miles. And beat the 310 to empty that it said when I filled it up. I should have no issue with hitting the 500 mile club when I go back to regular driving.Your outcomes should get better, in terms of MPG's and % electric miles when you are in more varied driving conditions.
