So my truck finally shipped and should be arriving at the end of next week. I've purposely held off on purchasing anything just in case I was rolled over to 23 or a better deal came along and I jumped ship. With my truck finally coming I feel confident that I can start ordering accessories for it. Amazon Prime day is also next week and I'm hoping to grab a few things on sale that should arrive the same time as my truck but I'm willing to buy from any reputable dealer online.

What are your favorite/best/most practical accessories and mods that you've found or added to your Mav since you got it?
When/if it ever comes I have a few add ons planned. Converting to a MY '23 tomorrow.

Is the tailgate really heavy or something? I see a lot of people with the assist and never understood the need. It just lowers the tailgate slowly, right?
Tailgate assist is one of those things you didn't know you needed until you had it. Like adaptive cruise control, wireless apple carplay/android auto, large screen tv, in-n-out burger, etc... Sure you can make do without them, but...

Here is my list so far:

Fiesta ST leather wheel
Cruise control added w/Forscan
Lomax trifold tonneau
Bedrug
LED strip kit for the bed
Homelink mirror
Auto-start/stop disable
OEM power tailgate lock

Id say that these mods are all good quality mods.

but at least it's an option for the toilet seat slammers out there.
Dude i LOL'd hard at this. owning 350s and 150s this tailgate is dumb light. I do get some folks have kids but ehhh okay whatever. Personally if there was a kit that retained the factory tie down i wouldnt mind getting it but I want the tie down incase more than the strut.

Ive only done Tint, Tailgate letters and a ProX15 cover for the bed. love the cover and being the fabric matieral i think it looks really good compared to vinyl. also being low pro is really under rated imo.

Plans for the future is just to insulate all the doors and behind the back seat some more and bump up to 235 Falken WIldpeak AT Trails come winter.

Hood deflector makes keeping the hood clean a lot easier.
https://accessories.ford.com/products/maverick-2022-lund-aeroskin-smoke-hood-protector

I also find the RainX bug windshield fluid is a must. The upright nature of this trucks windshield seems to make it attract bugs a lot more than my other vehicles.

I also got an extra side cubby for the truck bed. Fairly cheap at around $50.
Just installed the hood deflector from ford yesterday, easy install, used points to pay and a definate need, already have 3 rock chips on the hood in 2 months.

Out of curiosity what's the preference of the hood deflector over paint protection film? I spent about $500 to cover the front bumper, about a 1/3rd of the hood and fenders, the A pillars, about a 1/4 of the roof and the rocker panels with 3M paint protection film and the paint is still perfect even though I can tell where the PPF has taken a few hits. I'm not a fan at all of how the hood deflector looks but I'm wondering if people just aren't aware of PPF options?

I thought the same thing, but after installing the piston, I realized I could just hit the latch and watch the tailgate slowly fall especially with my hands full. You can also reverse the tie down and with a vise and rubber mallet to bend it to keep the tie down.
