The instructions mention scribing holes for the extender mounts so they may not be strictly incompatible. Ford may just not want to deal with the extra steps of the combination at the factory.
Let’s hope they prep the extender as outlined in the instructions - as you noted, from the instructions: “if equipped with a bed extender (3), eDIY switch (4), power to the box (5) on driver side or storage compartment (5) on passenger side, you will have to trim the sidewall liner following the scribe marks prior to installation.”

Otherwise looks like we Will need to pull off side panels and make the opening as noted to add an extender.

I wouldn’t mind a DIBL instead of a SIBL if it meant getting my truck sooner. My only concern is moisture between the liner and metal causing rust. Does anyone have experience with this one way or the other?

I had a Toyota with dibl for seven years, no issues and I like that furniture slides in and out easily without damage.

I just talked my salesman about changing out the SIBL for the DIBL and was told I can't because my order is still sitting at Priority 2 under review. However, if I don't get selected at the day of scheduling then he said I should be able to make the change. I'm just tired of waiting and after seeing how the DIBL is installed I think it will be good for the long run

That’s a great point, Steve. I see WeatherTech makes liners for just the floor, so I’ll probably get one when they are available.

Did this drop-in allow for the holes to connect the bed extender?

Thanks much for the bedliner info and video. I was uncertain which bedliner to go with when I placed my order in August. DIBL as I thought it could be replaced or removed easier if damaged or stained. The video confirms the quality and look of the DIBL version. Can’t wait to see it when delivered in February. Thanks for sharing.

Great
I wanted a drop-in liner but it would have delayed my Maverick hybrid.
This morning I got a RINO liner put in
Oh well
I'm happy with it
Mike
My wife has a 1997 Ford F250 4x4. She bought it new in 1997. She had it sprayed with Rhino bed liner in 1997. That stuff is tough...it still looks good with no cuts, scrapes, etc....and she uses the truck as a truck...stall shavings, bags of feed on pallets, bales of hay (she has 10 horses)....and it isnt slick or slippery as some of the other spray in bed liners....

Having seen this bedliner in person at the SEMA show last November I can say its fit and quality is very impressive. I plan to get one for my own Maverick as for me this is a better outfit than a spray-in bedliner as I had originally planned on.

The question at this point is when will they be available. They have disappeared from the Ford Accessories website and my dealer has no answers. Seems Penda's full production capacity may be heading to the plant in Hermosillo at the moment.

The video below shows it but it takes some work to see.....

It looks like they are available from ford genuine parts

After watching the installation video and seeing how well it fits inside the bed, I'm considering changing current LUX package with SIBL to the LUX with DIBL, especially considering there's still an ongoing constraint with the LUX SIBL package on Hybrid XLTs. :cautious: 🤔 🤔
...had a chat with my dealer yesterday, made a couple of changes to my order. Anyway, the biggest news I got from him is that the XLT-Lux pkg. no longer includes the SIBL. Instead they're substituting the DIBL, for now at least.
After seeing this report, I'm pleased.

Yes, your dealer is sorta correct on what he said. The XLT Lux doesn't have the SIBL anymore, however, orders place before X-date (I don't remember the cutoff date) still have the SIBL. Now if you're like me my LUX package still has the SIBL and I can opt to switch to the new LUX package that has the DIBL and if I do there's no going back! However, I'm still sitting at priority 2 so I can't make any changes until Ford releases my build back to the dealership, which could happen if I don't get picked AGAIN for a build date on the next scheduling Thursday.

Hard to tell from the video if holes for the drain plugs are accessible? A lot of tonneau covers have drip lines that use the drain holes, would be a shame if you cannot use them.
I would like to know about this as well. The hard tri-folds do have the drain line but I am not interested in pulling off the DIBL to find out if there is a place marked to correspond with the drain hole.

Ford Maverick Factory Drop-in Bedliner Kit -- specs, part numbers, install instructions Maverick Truck Bed

For Canadian owners I found this bed mat at a Canadian Tire Store for under $100 (often goes on sale for $80). It's 4' by 6' so there is enough for the bed and the inside of the tailgate. I bought some longer screws that replace the existing ones to hold it on the tailgate. It's made in Canada of recycled tires and is grooved on the bottom to allow drainage. About 3/4" thick (quite heavy) and is nonslip. Doesn't cover every square inch of the bed but is great if you are loading heavy/pointy/scratchy things in and out.
