Factory all weather mat removal

I need to clean the factory Ford all weather mats for cleaning.

I'm not sure how the retaining pins near the seats detach.

There doesn't seems to be enough gap to insert a tool to lift up the center to release it without marring the plastic and when I tried pulling straight up it lifted the carpet too.

Is there a trick to getting these out? I'm a little hesitant to just start yanking things on a new truck.

try holding down the carpet and lift up the mat, ford made it easy not hard

I love this forum. Just the info I needed. I held the button down with a screwdriver and pulled the mat off.

Yup it easy, I just do it with my finger, but I'm a youngish chap.

I also appreciate this forum. Have a 2025 XL hybrid with towing package. I was also wondering about the removal of the floor mats. And the above suggestion by Milous' is the trick. I have the WeatherTech to install front and back.

(Though the 3W Autolife brand appears to make a good set for a bit cheaper price. Currently they have a 30% off coupon for Dad's day!)
