I'm pricing out the cost of an extended warranty for my '25 Lariat, and found it interesting that the cost is the same whether the Mav is an XL, XLT, or Lariat. I'd have thought that the trim level would play a part in the overall cost, but I guess not. With all of the additional features (and electronics) on the Lariat compared to the XL, at least to me, it looks like the warranty is a better deal for Lariat owners than for XL owners.

I disagree. Since all of us Lariat owners are really just buying a $20k truck for $40k - we shouldn’t have to pay anymore than anyone else as we’ve already paid double for the same exact truck.

I opted to avoid the extended warranty. If you’re getting the hybrid, those components already have an extended warranty. There’s a reason the finance person is always the one to try to sell you them. Plus I paid cash and I couldn’t justify throwing another $2500 away as I was already driving off the lot with a new depreciating asset.
But I’m one of those cheap XL drivers.
