Exclusive Dealership Options?

Visited a dealership in our area in order to test drive a Maverick. They had a fully decked out Lariat ecoboost, and we are wanting a hybrid, so we knew we were not going to buy this exact truck.

The salesperson said we should order the truck at their dealership rather than on the website, because there are some options that only dealerships can add on. Is this true? I'm skeptical.

Those would be dealer-installed money grab options. They are good for them, for you....not so much for what you pay. Paint and upholstery protection, VIN window etching, among others.

Pin stripes, paint protection, window etching.. all for the low low price of $1,999 each.

Dealers and lying go together like lamb and tunafish.

You also can't order a hybrid until August, the window for 2022 hybrid ordering closed in November.

Also you can't truly order a Maverick through the Ford website. You still have to order through a dealership.
