Small dealership vs big dealership

Hello, I'm in the process of trying to find a good dealer to order a new 2023 Maverick from. Should I order from a smaller local dealership or a larger one closer to the city? I'm on the south side of Houston, Texas. Any recommendations? My local dealership has great reviews, and it's neither small nor big necessarily, but they don't seem very well educated on the Maverick. Also, I had a dealer tell me today that I can come in and start a pre-order, but it's about an hour drive. Should I place a pre-order or wait until order banks open at a closer dealer? All the ones I talked to require a deposit, so I'm not interested in playing dealer-roulette with multiple orders

Order your Maverick from long MacArthur Ford in Kansas MSRP no deposit and they will ship it to any dealer you want in Texas if you finance through them or pick up there . So they will ship to my local dealer in Houston for free if I finance through them? Is there any benefit to going with them? Is the delivery time faster or more reliable? It just seems crazy to order from a dealership out of state when I have a dozen all within an hour drive of me

They are a very big dealership in Kansas not sure of the exact number but I believe it's around 500. 2022 Maverick this year they have SOLD they have there own YouTube channel every Tuesday night they live stream for about an hour and a half an update on all ford models I'm 66 years old and don't give recommendations very easy. I truly believe in this dealership they will not rip you off like others and to put it bluntly they know their shit about the Maverick do not I repeat do not take my work it's just my opinion. I live in Tn a 1000 miles away from them I have my Maverick ordered with them You need to check them out for yourself but that is my opinion and I stand by it

Also interested in finding a good local Houston area dealer to place a proper COVP order with. MSRP is fine. Small refundable or no deposit. No markups. No extra packages. About a month ago, a sales gentleman in Baytown told me $3K ADM on all Mavericks sold there, even customer orders. I walked away. I find it hard to believe that there is not at least one dealer here that wants to rake in a ton of sales by selling at MSRP with no extra charges.
