ETA 700 Days

My hybrid XLT with LUX package was ordered mid November of 2021, the last week to order a hybrid. I just received a message from my dealer that a build date of 9/4 has been set. If it takes a week to build and a month to ship (if I'm lucky), I'll be looking at damn near 700 days from order to delivery! When I ordered, I was told I may see it in March of '22, not even close.
I have not received an email from Ford since last summer, and I'm on my 3rd sales associate. Whenever I checked in, I was told that my order was still "good", just not scheduled yet, and when I ask what is going on, they know nothing. I swear, the info from the truck club website is far greater than anything my dealership could tell me.
I've watched almost every review and mod video. My daily driver has started to sound so bad that I took a test drive in an AWD XLT, thinking I'd buy one now and trade it in when mine shows up. I just couldn't justify paying the extra 5K mark up.
Earlier this week I had voiced my concerns to the dealer in regards to the '24 order bank, and he told me everything was in order and I didn't have to do anything. Today I got the news of an August 4th build! If what I've read on the forum is accurate, I should see my HPR hybrid sometime in September, possibly October, almost 2 years. Fingers crossed I get this truck before then.

While I have not waited as long as you, I too have watched almost every video about Mavericks out there. This forum is what kept my hopes up

700 days. The thought of such a long wait makes me want to throw up especially when you read the posts from folks who ordered theirs wwaayy after you and have have already gotten their Mav.

Well, maybe more of those shudder/heat exchanger/CV shaft/dash rattle problems/poor wiring/faulty airbag problems have been worked out and yours will be trouble free.

I thought the idea of a sticker on the back window signifying how many days you waited was kinda lame until I read about you wait. Go ahead and get one as you would be the Methusela of Maverick owners.

My dealer as well has been absent from the communication line. Everything I know is also from this site and FoMoCo.

Ordered Oct 2021 and just received ours after 621 days of waiting. Once I received my VIN, my worries stopped and the remainder of the process was excellent. For us it was worth the wait. Plus, I think we may have already generated two additional orders for next year. Good Luck!
