I had posted a while ago looking for an easier way to move/reposition the Elevate roof racks. I couldn't find what I was looking for off the shelf so I decided to improvise.
I bought this plastic rod and these threaded inserts and used my lathe to make 2" handles. I think If I were to do it again, I would get a larger plastic rod and make the knobs more T shaped.
I also got these wire locking pins to make adjusting the height of the rack easier. Here is what it all looks like together.
It was about $35 all in and I think it is much more functional than the default hardware.
