Elevate rack cancelled by realtruck.com was yours?

Ordered an Elevate rack system and Truxedo cover from Real Truck on 7/27/22. They took full payment and on 8/15/22 they cancelled the Elevate rack due to it being backordered (Tonneau cover was delivered). I said I would wait until it came in and they said due to policy they must refund.

Has anyone else run into this from Real Truck?

I have never had this happen on anything I have ever ordered. Wonder if it will be hundreds more if I reorder from them. Not very happy about their policy.

I'd rather get the refund and they are doing the right thing IMO. If it's backordered they likely have no idea when it will be back in stock. Especially with all the supply chain issues it's a lot cleaner for them to give refunds than having a bunch of backorders hanging over their heads.

Edit: Tonneau Factory Outlet changed the price on me. Not Real Truck

They want to refund because they WILL change the price on you. Ask me how I know...

I was very happy with Realtruck service and pricing that I received. Sounds like you may have had a different experience.

This is strange that this happened and I will certainly get to the bottom of it, typically if anything takes over 60 days to be built we cannot hold your money without sending a product, there are a few exceptions but I won't dive down that rabbit hole. Elevate racks are currently at about a 60-day lead time so it is right on the verge and shouldn't have been canceled.

Shoot me your email address and order information via PM and I will do a little digging to see what happened. If you didn't order from me originally I can also get the order set back up with our forum-only pricing that I specifically offer.

The salesmen was cool the first time I called and got a quote. I had another week before getting paid, then I called because I wanted to make sure the order was correct for a Maverick. Salesman said don't use the quote he sent me to finish the order, then rewrote a new one saying the price just happened to go up. It was a difference of around $80... Was irritated but wanted the rack and tonneau setup so I caved. So, if you get a quote link, pay from there if you can! This shitty salesman tactic is why I won't go back. So they got my money once, and only once.

Id like to look into this more as well because that doesnt sound right. Shoot me a PM with your email and order number

It happens! There are so many companies out there it is hard to keep track, I am however sorry that had to happen to you though as that is a shady practice. We try our best to be upfront but sometimes things slip through the cracks. If you need anything in the future dont hesitate to reach out
