Electric vs. All Electric display

2023 XLT Hybred.

I get a blue "ELECTRIC" display on my dash when the ICE shuts off and the truck is running on battery. I understand that part. However, sometimes I get another blue display "ALL ELECTRIC'. What does "ALL ELECTRIC vs. just "ELECTRIC" mean?

If it says all electric that means the ICE did not come on during that trip, or has not come on yet. If it just says electric that means the truck is operating in EV mode.

The ice may be running without furnishing any torque to drive train only electric running. The electric may be diverted to electric motor instead of going into battery.

Happens frequently, seems like whenever I'm trying to log my trip stats before or after fuel up, very annoying.
Obviously I didn't get 300 electric miles - haven't discovered a way to correct it without moving fast enough to kick on engine, which now ruins the trip accuracy after fillup.
I've resorted to not shutting truck off until I get stats pre-fillup.

OP - if you want to see more useful EV/Hybrid status, using the wrong screen. Try the MyView with EV Coach instead.

"All Electric" is what has happened since the last key cycle.

Sometimes the "All Electric" will persist for 10 to 30 seconds after the gas engine starts. Just the way it is.

"Electric" is what it is currently doing at this second.
