Hi everyone, I have a 2022 Maverick XLT hybrid with 80k miles. It runs fantastic but I get this low shake of the electric motor when stopped at a light. happens mostly when I first start truck till about when engine warms up. Also, when the electric motor kicks in, it seems a bit rough or has a slight jerk to it. not sure if that's normal (never owned a hybrid). Truck is great though, 38MPG on highway, 42 in city. Entertainment system nutty as everyone mostly says but it works 85% of the time normally.

I am not having that issue. Transition between the two drive methods is mostly seamless for my truck. About the only thing I notice is slight noise from the ICE at times. No electric "shake" at all.

thanks, yes initially it was just noisy, which it still is, but it seems after the engine passed 60k it started doing that in the am in first start. doesn't matter if a warm or cold day either so. not sure

Hi there! If you'd like me to look into your concerns on my end, please send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info.

I've noticed that there's some slight jerk too when engine starts up and is idling but it goes away after warming up. Please keep me posted if you discover anything.

It's probably not what you think it is.

"Electric Motor shake" is not very likely at all. That implies something is loose.

Would you agree it feels like power "surging" like it wants to put power to the wheels and take off? Because lots of folks, myself included have felt that.
