Can anybody confirm how long the Maverick Hybrid's Electric Assisted Braking System stays active after placing it in neutral towing mode?

I put the truck (push button start) in that mode and locked the doors with the window open and after an hour the assist was still active when pressing the brake pedal with a rod.

I'd like to know if it stays active longer than that, like up to 6 hours since that the longest they recommend staying in that mode before taking a break and starting the vehicle for a few minutes.

I'm trying to figure this out since Brake Buddy is saying they're not recommending their system since if the assist shuts down you would need much more force to stop the vehicle after the initial set up when it is active.

I installed a always hot cigarette lighter outlet up next to the gas pedal. My truck outlet only stayed active for 45 minutes then no more brakes and that wasn't good.

May I ask what class of vehicle you are using to flat-towed the Maverick?

You need to wire a constant cigarette lighter plug and use a charge wire from the motorhome to the trucks battery.

I can't confirm anything. I don't tow my Maverick.

However, it is my impression the brake booster runs on 12v and is active "all the time". It goes to sleep after so many minutes but each new press of the pedal wakes it back up.

People who do not wire 12v power from the towing vehicle have experienced their Maverick 12v battery go dead. (Or under 10v) probably for this reason. In addition to all the power the brake lamps consume.

That is the exact reason a “charge wire” needs to be installed on the 2025 Mavericks prior to flat towing
