Truck coming along. Plan to install 2" wheel spacers and fenders next.

As an aside, looking to add some power upgrades to my MRT straight pipe exhaust and Buschur intake...

Cobb from Austin, TX has a tuner I'm looking at. Still considering JB4. Also want a downpipe and intercooler.

How are you liking the Eibach springs now that you have had them on for 3 months?

Giving y'all an update on my Eibach spring lift. The truck was due for an alignment after installing the lift, and I was driving the truck on a very limited basis post lift. I've noticed a popping noise coming from the front struts over pot holes, and also when climbing out of and cresting over steep terrain...

I chalked the noise up to the truck not yet being aligned and/or possibly the upper and lower perch of the strut assembly backing out from normal when tightening things up during the installation -- I installed this lift myself with a McPherson strut compressor tool. I got it done, but would not recommend this path for anyone considering doing it on their own. If you have multiple vehicles and plan to make a hobby out of this, it might be worth it for you to invest in a floor mounted spring compression device. Otherwise, I suggest having a professional shop perform the installation. Reason I say this is because McPherson strut compressors can be very sketchy and require an immense level of patience to properly use. I know of one other member who said he couldn't get his McPherson strut compressor to work for the front springs, but I was able to make it work. I had to take my time and be very careful to load both sides of the spring evenly, and at times it was very frustrating for me. These springs are much bigger than the stock springs and you're really pushing the performance envelope of that tool with these springs. Be very careful if you don't heed my recommendation!

I ultimately decided to have it aligned at a pro shop and asked them to diagnose the noise prior to performing the alignment, to check my work.

They pulled everything apart before performing the alignment, and said things looked good - my installation was done properly. They test drove it and said it still makes the noise when hitting speed bumps and/or pot holes at speeds in the 20mph range. It still makes the noise when climbing out of and cresting over steep terrain as well. I hear the noise when hitting pot holes at speeds slower than 20mph, even after their work.

The shop said the noise I'm experiencing is likely attributed to the springs not being fully broken in yet (truck has barely been driven since the springs were installed), and also because the suspension is being maxed out, or close to it. The upper and lower perch are in the correct position; the shop verified that I didn't mess up that portion of the installation. This step is critical to avoid noise when driving, according to Eibach.

I have received many compliments on how the truck looks, and I like the way it looks too. Hoping to hear the noise go away after putting more load on the springs with repeated turning and braking, and just driving it more in general. If the noise remains after about 2,000 miles of driving I'll talk to the shop about alternative solutions. They have agreed to continue working with me.

That's the only update I have on the springs for now. Interested in hearing about the experiences of others with the same spring kit.

Edited for grammar and wording.

Drove to Utah and back to Arizona average MPG 26.9 also added the flares before my trip. Had it realigned before the trip and no issues so far.

Your truck looks really sharp! I'm looking forward to breaking my springs in. Have you towed that camper with it yet?

The springs are 4 months in now, even just sitting you have broken them in with static weight of the vehicle. I don't think you're going to see much of a drop in them by driving it.

The Maverick is a relatively compact vehicle, and these springs are heavy duty. Though some settling of the springs could occur with the truck sitting static, it really must be driven in order to properly break in the suspension. I'll resurrect the thread later, to report back on results.

It was popping from the front when cresting onto level ground after steep inclines. Not noticing it as much when hitting potholes lately. I've been avoiding the steep climb/crest onto level ground scenario and just driving it and enjoying. There is a gas station driveway on the way home that has done it every time (have been avoiding that exit). Going to drive by there later to hit it and see if it still makes the racket, and will report back. Still running the Eibach 2" Pro Lift Kit on Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 245/65/17 rubber with steelies and OEM shocks.
