We took our three week old Maverick to the drive-in this weekend and ran into some issues.

1. Initially I turned off the car and left the stereo on. After 15 minutes or so a message came up saying to turn off the radio or turn on the engine. Apparently the battery doesn't have enough capacity to power just the stereo for a couple hours and still be able to start the car after.

2. After issue one I started the car and managed to shut off the headlights, but all the interior lighting stays on. I put a towel in the main cluster and turned off the touch screen, but all the other button and switch lighting remained on for the entire movie. Also, the engine would start up every now and then to recharge the battery.

Nothing to be done about the engine starting issue, but is there anyway to turn off all interior lighting?

I'm guessing replacing the battery with one that has more than the absolute minimum capacity the truck requires to function while running would help with this, but replying to bump the thread back up because I am curious if there is a way to turn off all the interior lighting as well.

The smart lighting is pretty dumb. My complaint is that it stays off when the 12v gets low enough for deep sleep, they are LED and I only need it on for a few seconds to get in, can't cost that much juice. So either on when you don't want them or off when you need them, ha ha.

There is, in simple mode I think, a way in Forscan that will keep all interior lights off - maybe more than just interior, I don't know. I have no idea if there is a toggle for it - I expect so. I'll look for it and link if I can find it

It's called Police Dark Mode. It can be enabled by EZ mode in BCM module with Forscan. I have no information on toggle, but there must be.

Here is a thread that might be helpful

Wife's ioniq has an emergency button that allows you to jump the 12v with the hybrid battery. I am not sure why they don't all do that.
Doesn't have anything to do with the lights, but the dead battery made me think of that
