I am installing a retractable cover and was checking to see if anyone can clarify what the two holes are in the photo. I pulled the cover and installed the drain tubing in the lower one but not sure if this is for drainage or electrical? The top covered hole I think is for electrical but maybe not? Anyone use either of these for drainage?

When I installed our bed cover I put the drain hoses in the front of the bed in the proper drain holes. You are installing them towards the rear of the bed. Curious where others installed their drain hoses, front or rear of the bed, since the instructions for my cover were to definitely place them in the front.

The truck is stanced toward the front by the stock suspension. Water would flow that way. Thats where you would want the drain.

...unless you're not using the stock suspension?

It has drain locations by cab and tailgate. cab side drain retractable cover assembly and the ones by the tailgate drain each rail since it has t-slots for racks.

The hole in the picture with your drain hose is for use in the stamping, transfer or one of several assembly process' just as the one above it is.
Generally, tooling holes (that's what they are called) are not place in 'obvious' locations easily seen. In this case though, the one you are using, and the other most likely are to be used in conjunction with a factory accessory or upgrade. No hole from the Factory is there by random happenstance.
Hope that explains it for you.
