Dog kennels in the Maverick

Looks like a good setup.

I run an Impact crate in my Jeep for Ella. It's a 40" side door. Plan on getting a collapsible for the Maverick. I'll be interested to see your setup when done.

Caffeine: We Have an IMPACT crate in the house for one of our labs. FYI, I contacted Impact, and they told me their crates are not suitable for use outside in a pick up truck bed. I may go with RuffLand, where two intermediates are 40” and would actually fit without a plywood sheet. Would cover the RuffLands with an insulated cover as they are not dual-bodied.

Interesting. I really don't like the full top on my Jeep and have been caught in the rain a couple of times with only the safari top. I bugged the hell out of them to pick the perfect size. There might be and 1/4" on either side between the crate and wheel wells. Then they powder coated to match. About a month ago they posted a really cool concept of a duel kennel built for a Bronco that looked partially exposed.

Ella will primarily be belted inside, but there are some occasions where I will need a crate for her.

I wanted to put in two large gunner kennels, however they were too large for the Maverick. The medium size kennels are too small for my two dogs so instead I bought this crate and strapped it in and it’s pretty secure. I like this method just as much as the two gunner kennels and waaaay cheaper. The cage cost around $300.

What brand/size is the crate you are using here?
