We just picked up our Maverick at the dock today. Of course we had to take the pups for a good ride in it. As some may know we got a mix of windows on our MX topper. The front is the drop down slider(perfectly matches the sliding cab window), the passenger side is the standard screened slider, and the drivers side is the windoor option. We wanted the windoor to be able to access more of the bed easily. It works very well at easily grabbing something out of the side. When we put our fridge in there it will be perfect. The opening is just big enough for our dog Harvey Dent to get out and unleash is alter ego. Batman is a good guy and would never jump out. So I may come up with a side hinged prop rod that locks the window in the half open position. Until then I came up with a simple solution using the push of the struts to hold it there. Just a piece of paracord in just the right length, attached to the front and rear tie downs then looped once around the two knobs of the window. I parked partially shaded with the slider open to the cab(with all 4 windows cracked 3/4") and the passenger slider open. After about 40 min in IHOP at about 11am the bed area stayed nice and cool for the dogs. Also it was windy today. Ofcourse this would not work while driving but for that we just let the AC just blow out the window from the cab to topper. That kept them nice and cool.
