I usually buy new, but this is pretty much the perfect combo I'm looking for and I can probably save some money. I live in NC, and seeing MI on the Carfax concerns me with regards to rust and I see no oil changes. (Even Wal-Mart oil changes show up on a Carfax)I can't look at it in person yet because its a multi-dealership group and they would have to drive it 5 hrs over if I am interested. Also, did the 2022's have this many recals? Commercial Owner?

Very informative, thank you.

Ok, I called the dealer and they are transferring it over to my local dealer for me to look at this Saturday. We'll see.
Also if it's a lease vehicle, the registration may show a company as owner and trigger a commercial tag.

MY Two Cents.
Car Fax. How they have become the Gosphel in buying is insane. Bought a 2012 Chevy with a Auto-check and Car fax report. 11000 K Miles on it. Report No Issues It was a Dealer Service Truck Car fax by The dealer provided and I purchased a Auto-check report. No Issues and a Active CPO extended warranty on it. Hey It looked New. Kept it until 2022. Chevy did all the warranty work until the time limit went Out. So I went to Sell the Truck ( A Mav was en-route) Nasty experience withe Dealer In Tyler. They Do a Car-fax after about a hour say nice no Issues make a offer. PV party sales on KBB said 13K they offered six and were going up as I left. A month Later I took it to another dealer in Tyler. The Car-fax report My Truck totaled and repaired. ??? Did a check to fine out when and where? The Period was when i owned it. Challenged it cannot find a accident report or where it came from ther is no accident report anywhere. Nothing and I could not get the report Changed. Car-fax is a Tool use it as a guide but common sense. I did sell the vehicle but I Told them about the New Dealer car-fax and I gave them the Car-fax and Auto Check report from the day I bought it.(Yes I kept it) Weird it the Truck was supposed to be totaled during the #Warranty period and when I owned it. I asked My Mechanic at the Chevy Dealer if they knew about it. He Punches up My Truck and Laughs " No Man we don't do warranty work on any Totaled vehicles his report has no Flags anywhere. Trust yourself not car-fax
Possibly overheard about some repair shop somewhere but who can prove squat = "FOR $20 ALBERT WILL TYPO YOUR VIN #".

Hey thanks for the replies. I actually have a '24 on order that is shipped and should be arriving at my dealer (in KY - Long story) any day now. Same color and all, just no FX4 or sunroof. $34,600(MSRP). I wouldn't pay more than 30 or so for this used one. Just thought I could save a little. Maybe I should just keep my order.

So, the oil changes. I get that a person can do it themselves, but thought it's a little unlikely with the commercial owner status.

Those recalls are done? I thought they were showing up on the Carfax like as an alert, that they might need to be done. Wasnt sure.

If you check out its Sticker using the Carfax link, somebody even paid for PPF film. Wow.
Guarantee you wont get them to budge much let alone down to under 30k

I say no, not because it's used, but because you can buy that same truck new for less. I'm here in NC too - Asheville. There are plenty of solid Ford dealers here in NC that will sell to you for MSRP.

I have a 22 AWD XLT LUX CP360 in HPR with 19,000 miles. To replace it new (probably a few months waiting for an Ecoboost), is less than that dealer is asking for a used one. BTW - what the heck is an "acquisition fee". Sounds like a new customer fleecing mechanism.

BTW, I see similar Mavericks within 250 miles of me here in Asheville that look real - real photos, sitting on lots. One is across the border in GA. I recommend cars.com, setting the filters for what you want, and finding listings that have real photos. Then it's just an email and you have your truck.

That acquisition fee is for the 5hrs to drive it up for him lol
They will try to milk for everything

No problem; my order is due in any day now. If nothing else, its negotiating practice. I'm great at saying no and walking away.

Everything looks legit to me. It appears to be a lower milage very early built '22 with no accident history. Like very early build. It was number 451 to roll off the line in the fall of '21.

Ford recommends an oil change every 10K miles so I wouldn't worry about that. Would I go that long? No but it's not a red flag. People register vehicles all the time as a commercial vehicle so that doesn't mean anything either.

It also appears to have all the important recalls performed which is a good sign. Even the latest turn signal recall has been performed and that one was just issued a few weeks ago.
If you wait for 10K you will not be keeping it long. Every 5K max. Ask any Ford mechanic.

my two cents:
wait for the 24, add the towing package to order (if not already in it)

Um.....reread my post please. I didn't say I would wait that long in between changes. I only said that because that is what Ford recommends in the owners manual and a lot of people go by that.
