Does Smart Vicent consider the Ford credit rate as an "incentive"?

So is the 3.9% Ford credit financing that existed in September, 2022 when we ordered our 2023 trucks
available now for those of us finally getting scheduled as a 2024 truck?
Is that considered an "incentive" that Smart Vicent will see as applying now along with the private offer?
I do know that it is suppose to give you any incentives offered when you ordered.
Or do they not consider the interest rate an "incentive"? It was for me.
It's 5.99% now. Even my Credit Union is 6.49%!
When I first tried to order this damn truck in Feb. of 2022 it was 0.0%! (for 3 years)
I don't know if I would have ordered this truck at 6%.
I think I know the answer but thought I'd ask.

When I ordered Mine in November of 2021 it was 1.9%. When I took delivery in June of 2023 I had a private offer and a price lock , but no special interest rate.

Smart Vincent ( Vehicle Incentive) tells exactly what is available at that moment for a vehicle about to be or has just been sold.

Smart Vincent incentives ( yes, interest rates are an incentive) do NOT carry forward or backward.

About the only thing you can lock is the price of the vehicle when ordering.

There may, or may not, be equal incentives such as interest rates or rebates, even package discounts available when vehicle is actually REPORTED as sold by Dealer to Ford.

Smart Vincent incentives are valid ONLY at time of sale! When you order, you know it won't be "sold" for some time. The incentives you looked at in September would only apply to a new 2022 model that a Dealer had on the floor for sale.

I think it's going to be awhile before we see interest rates fall. Back in 2019 we got 2% on our 15 year fixed rate home mortgage and 0 and 1.9% on a couple of cars. We recently went to check on financing for a motorhome and they wanted 6.99% and that's with a credit score of 850. We walked away from the deal. Will probably just pay cash on the sale of the Mav for whatever remains after we sell my current car. Had plenty of time to save up after waiting 14 months.

Well that's really confusing.
Smart Vicent is only good for the moment in time right at the point of sale???
Why is a program needed to see what incentives are being currently offered?
I thought this program was used to see the incentives that were being offered when you ordered the vehicle.
Doesn't the dealer just need to choose the "Protection Date" instead of the "Sale Date"?

Smart Vincent ONLY applies to the vehicle sale date. BUT....Ford allows some backdating ( wink, wink ) for Dealers to fudge the date a bit. But NO forward dating.
My advice for orders is to assume there is NO low interest, no rebates available. Any that are, are simply a bonus. Depending on the time of year, and when vehicle availability is high, you can assume there will be some incentives. But when ordering a vehicle a Dealer cannot guarantee ANY low interest rate through Ford nor any monetary rebates.
Incentives are usually updated/ended/new ones offered at the end of the month.

Why? Incentives are fluid. They change with market factors. They are mainly there to control vehicle inventory across dealer zones. Too many vehicles in a regional zone? Ford will add incentives to lower inventory in that zone. That is why a neighboring state may have more or less rebates for instance on the same vehicle. Ordered vehicles are still a fairly small percentage of reported sales.
There are some fleet sales where prices can be locked down to get a very large order. Ford will actually get involved in those directly. But not retail sales.

I thought that now only applies to Price Protection, not Incentive Protection... (?)

The opposite. Smart Vincent, where the 'order date/sale date' gets checked is for incentives. Price protection is reconciled in Visions.

Smart Vincent incentives can carry forwards so long as its the same model year. Rollover orders are technically a new order so the incentive date gets reset. Interest rates can be a lockable incentive but only if Ford considers it a special, incentivized rate.

Interest rate incentive does not carry over from one order year to another.

Interest rate incentive does not carry over from one order year to another.
So Ford (and Ford credit) has a vested interest in not getting you your vehicle the same year you ordered it.
I was at the dealership in the parking lot before they opened the doors on the first day of ordering in September 2022. And they can't get me a truck the same freaking year. And now want 7% instead of 4% because of what?, my mistake?
