Does anyone have the ability to change programming on a Maverick? Specifically door locks, auto stop /start, auto leadlights and collision advoidance?

Its weird you mention this. Mine only works in Drive. If I change to N or P, the engine auto-restarts. I would kinda like for it to stay stopped in N and P.. But I get why it restarts..

Yet another reason I'd prefer just having a simple switch to press when I WANT it to stop the engine, and only restart when I blip the throttle.
I thought so too until it happened to me. I also have a 2022 this maybe an issue that was resolved on newer models.

Not following... you want a button that functions differently than the current button?
I guess I just want a button I press when I expect to be stopped in traffic, at a stop light, or for whatever reason that I deem an engine stop is needed for a 10s or longer amount of time.
It still requires holding the brake pedal, that is fine.
But instead of it being "automatic", it only stops the engine when I press the button.

I know, i know it sounds silly, when there is already an ignition ON/OFF button.. But, it wouldn't function the same as the Ignition switch, it'd just be a Toggle to stop the engine, exactly like AS/S, but without being 'auto'. Manual Stop/Auto-start? :D

Ex: I stop at a stop light, I know i'll be at this stop light for more than 10 seconds.
I press the 'stop' button. While leaving it in Drive, while leaving my foot on the Brake. Engine stops.
Wait 10-30+ seconds.
Lift off the brake, or blip the throttle and it auto-starts and I drive away.

This way its not Auto-Stopping EVERY time I make a full stop.
Stop signs for example, where I find no need for an engine stop to take place since its only for a second or 3.
Or, when turning right on a Red, where you just need to stop for a few or 5 seconds in many cases.
IMO, there is no reason for the engine to stop for a second or two, and restart. And IMO this is where the excess wear takes place.
I only wish for the engine stop to take place if i anticipate a 10 second or longer stop.

I understand its likely way too confusing for many drivers, and they'd just prefer AS/S instead, so its use-case would be rare.
But I think this functionality could be implemented into the existing logic, using the existing button/hardware.

Maybe to enable/disable the normal AS/S function you have to Press-and-Hold the button 3s.
And the 'Manual Stop' functionality would be a short press. - This would work for me, and make me feel like I'm inducing less wear on battery/starter/components/etc.

Got it. I mostly just wanted to make sure you knew "a" button of some kind exists. Some people don't seem to. 😀

I don't know how quick the OEM A/S/S button reacts, because I genuinely never touch it - the FIRST mod I made to my truck was the eliminator that plugs into the OBD2 port. That solution is pricey, but at least it retains the button functionality - it just happens to default to "off."

Have you just tried turning the system off/on as the mood or situation strikes? Or is that the button-pushing frenzy you're trying to avoid?

I also want to disable the headlights going to Auto every time I start the car. I see several mention FORSCAN. Has anyone here done that? I would also like to disable the AC coming on every time I start the car even when not set to AUTO. I have a 2025 EcoBoost Gas.
