Does an order change start the order over?

Hey all,
I ordered my 2023 XLT hybrid at the dealer back in Sept (previously misstated Oct).
If a change is made to the order, before receiving any production email or VIN, does it really reset the order status, putting you back at the bottom?
I've read various posts, some saying it will, some it won't.
What's the real verdict?
I'm not talking about changing the vehicle type, ex- going from XLT hybrid to eco-boost, but only adding on some extra options.

Did the dealer tell you that the order bank was only open for literally days in September and closed it because there was too many orders to build???

Unless in previewing or scheduled, minor changes are not an issue. Does not change order timing.

It was ordered in Oct after the order bank closed… I personally don’t see it as an actual verifiable order.

Perhaps OP is Canadian? I'm from Canada and our order banks closed on November 4th (which is when my order was psuedo-rolled-over but that's another story). Despite being a month and a half after the American banks closed, my order is Unscheduled-Clean.

Could be OP is in Canada, or just got month confused. I'll assume there is an order, hence the response. If US and October, then yes there is no order so nothing to change.

From all accounts the answer is no. I changed a color on mine, and the dealer gave me assurance that it would not change my place in line. It initially moved from a 10 to a 13, but he corrected it and moved it back to a 10.
