Definitely!
Always threaten first in business. People really respond well when you do that.

Absolutely! Hold their feet to the fire. I wonder if I should threaten my dealer beforehand?

I'm seriously starting to think some of you people are from outer space.

How can people who have absolutely ZERO idea of how the world works hold down a job?

At a minimum, Whatever dealer markup they got on that sale should be yours. You could have sold it for a premium the same as they did. You deserve your truck or at least the profit that they made in exchange for your wait. Punitive damages would also be good to prevent this from happening again.

Yeah, that'll definitely work.

Everybody knows that businesses are LEGALLY REQUIRED to sell you something AT YOUR DESIRED PRICE AND TERMS if you write a check and hand it to them.

Same legal concept as inviting a vampire into your house.

I read on this forum some time back that if Ford issued your Window Sticker that you can make your arrangements to finalize the money part of the sale before the truck is delivered. Anybody here done this?

You can bet if the s is true, I will cut the dealership a check as soon as I get that window sticker.

Ive got a copy of a CC authorization form (100 dollars on the dealer letterhead)some sort of enrollment status email forwarded to me. I've also got dozens of emails with the rep since 11/21/21 and call logs. I think the likely answer was stated above: It sucks, but any legal recourse is likely not going to go far/be worth it. Had I followed the forum more closely, I'd have known this was a possibility.

Your dealership is open on Sundays??? In my state, dealerships can’t be open on Sundays…..
Dealerships are not open on Sunday in my state either.

1- Somebody's mentally handicapped.
2- Lol no.
3- Criminal!

1-Anyone suggesting that OP is in any way, shape or form to blame for losing his truck are straight up mentally handicapped.
2-This truck does not belong to this Ford dealership, it belongs to the person who placed the order and OP never indicated he didn't want it.
3-Giving OP ZERO business days to pick up his truck is criminal.

Which one in Sac is this?
Harrold Ford. Downtown Ford is owned by the same Victory Auto Group, so I suspect them to be about the same. Victory Auto Group owns something like 18 dealerships around the US, so beware of those, too.
