I went on a 16 day cruise and the day before I got back I was unable to access the truck through the app. I figured the truck had gone into a sleep or battery saving mode. When I got home I immediately unlocked the truck and fired her up. Everything came on as usual and nothing seems worse for the wear. I figured this was normal behavior when the truck is idle for a significant amount of time. Anything else I might check out?

Check battery health so if and when it dies you are prepared for it.

That is exactly the purpose of Battery Saver functions, with Deep Sleep Mode thrown in at 14 days non-start.
Kills the modem to save the battery - or at least it figures.
Like you, could have been few days later, or it could be 3 months later - it doesn't know.

Now - for that 2 weeks not running, it was keeping the modem connection active with a ping every hour. If great AT&T signal - no big whoop, if it stinks - not great. Still not huge though, 80 mA spikes instead of 50 mA perhaps.

But from the undercharging nature of the truck - 20 min drives daily ain't going to recover it. Shoot - longer drives ain't going to either!

Get it on a charger some day until it's done, then disconnect and lock up overnight for the BMS Relearn.

You can try all of those things and more, including the SSM update and replacing the 12v with an AGM. It might fix the battery saver mode symptom, it might not do anything at all. I have been chasing this problem for over a year on my 24 hybrid. A total of about 5 weeks at the dealer and they still have no idea why the battery is drawing down and initiating the battery saver mode. Yes they installed an AGM, did the update, reprogrammed and checked for parasitic draw several times over 5 visits and have come up empty. They have turned it over to Ford FSE and so far they can't figure it out either. I'm preparing to file for arbitration under my state's lemon law. I don't like the prospect of going through that but I have to protect myself looking toward a bleak future of dealing with this issue. Good luck in your quest.
